Danish crown princess expecting twins

COPENHAGEN (Reuters Life!) - Denmark's Crown Princess Mary is pregnant with twins, the palace announced on Friday.

She is due to give birth in January, it said in a statement.

The Australian-born Mary and Crown Prince Frederik have two children already, a four-year old son and a three-year-old daughter.

Frederik is son and heir to the thrown of Queen Margrethe II who has reigned since 1972. He married Mary, a commoner, in 2004.

The twins will be fourth and fifth in the line of succession after their father and two older siblings.
