BERLIN (Reuters) - Berlin police arrested six unnamed athletes from Cuba, the United States and the Bahamas following a row outside a nightclub early on Sunday.

Police said a group of about 20 people, including athletes competing in the world athletics championships in the city, were involved in a fight with bouncers outside the club.

Three athletes from the Bahamas, one American and two Cubans were arrested on the spot as the doormen of the club used pepper spray to disperse them.

The athletes, who were not named by police, have since been released.

Three people, all club employees, were slightly injured when the group started throwing bottles at them, police said in a statement.
