South African police clash with Xstrata strikers
JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) - South African police said on Monday officers had fired rubber bullets to disperse protesting miners who barricaded a road leading to the Kroondal chrome mine operated by mining giant Xstrata.
Xstrata dismissed 400 workers at the mine over a week ago for taking part in an illegal strike.
