Trans Mountain oil pipeline overbooked for May

(Reuters) - Kinder Morgan Energy Partners KMP.N said on Monday its Trans Mountain pipeline system to Canada’s West Coast from Alberta was overbooked by 66 percent for May, meaning shippers will be able to deliver just 34 percent of hoped-for volumes.

Total nominations for the system were 287,034 barrels per day for Trans Mountain, 126,516 for Puget Sound and 78,286 for the Westridge Dock.

The Trans Mountain pipeline has a capacity of 300,000 bpd.
