Foreigners buy $9.27 billion of Canadian securities in February

April 17 (Reuters) - - Foreign investment in Canadian securities rose to C$9.27 billion ($7.63 billion) in February from C$5.75 billion in January, mainly due to foreign purchases of federal government bonds, Statistics Canada said on Friday.

Canadian investors bought C$9.35 billion worth of foreign securities following a C$10.81 billion sell-off in January, led by investments in foreign debt securities including U.S. Treasury bonds.
