TORONTO, June 30 (Reuters) - Canada’s main stock scored a 4.2 percent gain for the second quarter as a rally in gold stocks helped lift the market for a third straight day on Thursday, offsetting losses for financial sector stocks.
The Toronto Stock Exchange’s S&P/TSX composite index unofficially closed up 27.80 points, or 0.20 percent, at 14,064.54. Eight of the index’s 10 main groups ended higher. (Reporting by Fergal Smith; Editing by Chris Reese)
