TORONTO, May 23 (Reuters) - Canada’s main stock index rose on Tuesday after the Victoria Day holiday Monday, bolstered by bank stocks ahead of the release of earnings reports and a surge in BlackBerry Ltd shares.
The Toronto Stock Exchange’s S&P/TSX composite index unofficially closed up 18.48 points, or 0.12 percent, at 15,476.94. Just four of the index’s 10 main groups ended higher. (Reporting by Fergal Smith; editing by Diane Craft)
