CANADA STOCKS-TSX flat as miners gains offset by banks, energy stocks

TORONTO, Jan 2 (Reuters) - Canada’s main stock index opened little changed on Tuesday, helped by gold miners and marijuana companies while financial stocks and energy companies weighed.

The Toronto Stock Exchange’s S&P/TSX composite index was down 4.51 points, or 0.03 percent, at 16,204.62 shortly after opening in positive territory. (Reporting by Alastair Sharp Editing by Chizu Nomiyama)
