TORONTO, Jan 4 (Reuters) - Canada’s main stock index rose on Thursday, adding to its record high, as the financial and industrial groups climbed, while shares of energy and marijuana producers pared some recent gains.
The Toronto Stock Exchange’s S&P/TSX composite index rose 7.86 points, or 0.05 percent, to 16,379.41 shortly after the open. Six of the index’s 10 main groups were higher.
