TORONTO, Jan 9 (Reuters) - Canada’s main stock index seesawed on Monday as higher oil prices boosted energy shares, while the materials group was pressured by a drop in gold prices.
The Toronto Stock Exchange’s S&P/TSX composite index fell 0.96 of a point, or 0.01 percent, to 16,316.69 shortly after the open. Seven of the index’s 10 main groups were higher. (Reporting by Fergal Smith Editing by Chizu Nomiyama)
