TORONTO, May 8 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index dropped on Thursday as a selloff in the energy sector, one of the best performing groups this year, weighed on investor sentiment. The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index unofficially closed down 110.37 points, or 0.75 percent, at 14,546.03. Eight of the 10 main sectors on the index were in the red.
