TORONTO, May 13 (Reuters) - Canada’s main stock index rose on Friday as the materials group advanced and after stronger-than-expected U.S. retail sales data.
The Toronto Stock Exchange’s S&P/TSX composite index was up 21.46 points, or 0.16 percent, at 13,809.26, shortly after the open. Seven of the index’s 10 main groups were higher. (Reporting by Fergal Smith)
