TORONTO, Oct 13 (Reuters) - Canada’s main stock index rallied on Friday, led by energy and mining shares, as prices of oil and gold rose.
The Toronto Stock Exchange’s S&P/TSX composite index was up 54.09 points, or 0.34 percent, at 15,796.29, shortly after the open. Nine of the index’s 10 main groups advanced. (Reporting by Fergal Smith; Editing by Bernadette Baum)
