(Reuters) - Canada’s main stock index opened higher on Thursday, led by shares of precious metal miners as gold prices gained after the dollar slumped.
* At 9:30 a.m. ET (13:30 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange’s S&P/TSX composite index was up 55.6 points, or 0.34 percent, at 16,205.52.
