CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens slightly higher after jobs data

June 7 (Reuters) - Canada’s main stock index rose modestly at open on Friday, after data showed higher-than-expected addition of jobs in May and a fall in unemployment rate to a record low of 5.4%.

* At 9:32 a.m. ET (1332 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange’s S&P/TSX Composite index was up 14.32 points, or 0.09%, at 16,242.12. (Reporting by Shreyashi Sanyal in Bengaluru)
