CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens lower on dismal jobs data

May 21 (Reuters) - Canada’s main stock index opened lower on Thursday, weighed by bleak domestic jobs data and escalating tensions between the United States and China.

* At 9:32 a.m. ET (1332 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange’s S&P/TSX composite index was down 34.64 points, or 0.23%, at 14,962.99.
