TORONTO, July 15 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock market index closed higher on Friday, pushed up by solid gains in its resource groups as key commodity prices advanced.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE unofficially closed 46.62 points, or 0.35 percent, higher at 13,299.54. Seven of the index's 10 main sectors were lower, but rises in its two resource-based groups were enough to push the index up. Oil and gas rose 1.36 percent, while materials advanced 0.7 percent.
