CANADA STOCKS-TSX turns negative, led lower by financials

TORONTO, Sept 21 (Reuters) - Canada’s main stock index slipped into the red just before the close of trade on Friday, as weakness in financial and industrial stocks overpowered a rise among miners.

At 3:55 p.m. (1955 GMT) the Toronto Stock Exchange’s S&P/TSX composite index was down 14.36 points, or 0.12 percent, at 12,394.56.
