Toronto stocks turn negative as financials weigh

TORONTO, Dec 18 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange’s main index reversed direction into negative territory on Tuesday, erasing the morning’s gains on weakness in financial and materials shares.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was down 2.44 points, or 0.02 percent, at 13,384.67 late in the morning. (Reporting by Leah Schnurr; Editing by Peter Galloway)
