Toronto stocks slip into the red, energy weighs

TORONTO, Feb 21 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange’s main index turned negative on Thursday, pulled lower by energy firms suffering from cooling oil and gas prices.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was down 1.23 points at 13,550.46 with the energy sector down 1.3 percent. Materials stocks pulled in the other direction, up 1.2 percent. (Reporting by Jonathan Spicer; Editing by Peter Galloway)
