TORONTO, Sept 9 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange’s main index plunged more than 3 percent on Tuesday, weighed down by falling commodities prices and closing in on the year low it hit in January.
The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE unofficially closed down 475.32 points, or 3.76 percent, at 12,159.32. (Reporting by Natasha Elkington; Editing by Peter Galloway)
