TORONTO, Sept 15 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange’s main index was down more than 500 points on Monday, rattled by the bankruptcy filing of Wall Street’s Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc LEH.N and a big drop by energy issues on concerns over lower U.S. demand.
By Monday afternoon, the S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was down 502.10 points, or 3.93 percent, at 12,267.48, with nine of its 10 main groups lower. (Reporting by John McCrank; editing by Rob Wilson)
