TORONTO, Sept 24 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange’s main index rose 100 points on Wednesday morning on strength in energy and materials stocks and as the $5 billion investment in Goldman Sachs Group Inc (GS.N) by Warren Buffett brightened spirits.
The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 103.00 points, or 0.82 percent, at 12,635.63. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan; Editing by Peter Galloway)
