REFILE-Toronto stocks drop 500 points, led by financials

TORONTO, Oct 9 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange’s main index was down more than 500 points late in the session on Thursday, giving up earlier gains in a financials-led plunge.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was down 506.58 points, or 5.04 percent, at 9,549.73. (Reporting by Cameron French; Editing by Peter Galloway)
