TORONTO, Jan 14 (Reuters) - Toronto’s main stock index opened lower on Wednesday in a broad-based slide as investors pocketed recent gains while nagging concerns about upcoming corporate earnings hurt sentiment.
The Toronto Stock Exchange’s S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE fell 118.76 points, or 1.33 percent, to 8,842.79 at the open. All 10 of the TSX’s sectors were lower. (Reporting by Frank Pingue; editing by Peter Galloway)
