CANADA STOCKS-Oil, financials knock 1 pct off TSX

TORONTO, March 25 (Reuters) - Toronto’s main stock index fell more than 1 percent on Wednesday afternoon as earlier optimism over U.S. data faded and the market turned lower on weakening energy and financials issues.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE fell 92.80 points, or 1.05 percent, to 8,756.59. (Reporting by Ka Yan Ng; Editing by Jeffrey Hodgson)
