CANADA STOCKS-TSX turns higher as banks rebound

TORONTO, April 21 (Reuters) - Toronto’s main stock index erased an early fall and moved into higher territory on Tuesday as weighty bank shares staged a rebound and more than offset other pockets of weakness.

At 10:59 a.m. (1459 GMT), the S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 4.28 points at 9,130.43. Earlier, it had fallen as much as 1.2 percent. (Reporting by Frank Pingue; editing by Peter Galloway)
