CANADA STOCKS-TSX little changed at open, energy pressured

TORONTO, May 14 (Reuters) - Toronto’s main stock index was nearly unchanged in choppy dealings shortly after the opening bell on Thursday, with the energy group under pressure from lower oil prices.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE straddled the unchanged mark, up 0.82 of a point at 9,710.33, climbing back from a 0.27 percent dip at the opening bell.

Most sectors were higher but the energy group, down nearly 1 percent, held back gains. (Reporting by Ka Yan Ng; editing by Peter Galloway)
