TORONTO, July 8 (Reuters) - Toronto’s main stock index climbed on Thursday as energy, materials and financial shares all gained on stronger commodity prices and firm U.S. economic data.
The Toronto Stock Exchange’s S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE opened 1.84 points, or 0.02 percent, higher at 11,399.11, before further extending gains. (Reporting by Claire Sibonney; Editing by Jeffrey Hodgson)
