TORONTO, July 21 (Reuters) - Toronto’s main stock index opened higher on Wednesday as some robust U.S. corporate earnings fueled optimism about the strength of the economic recovery and commodity prices rallied.
The Toronto Stock Exchange’s S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE opened 0.53 of a point higher at 11,630.41 before extending gains. (Reporting by Claire Sibonney; editing by Peter Galloway)
