CANADA STOCKS-TSX turns negative as golds weigh

TORONTO, Jan 4 (Reuters) - Toronto’s main stock index turned negative on Tuesday morning after hitting its highest level in more than two years as a slide in gold miners offset gains by the index’s energy and base-metals groups.

The Toronto Stock Exchange’s S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE fell 1.31 points to 13,441.91. (Reporting by Claire Sibonney; editing by Peter Galloway)
