CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens lower as commodities slide

TORONTO, Jan 5 (Reuters) - Toronto’s main stock index opened lower on Wednesday as commodity prices tumbled for a second day, but a stronger than expected U.S. private sector employment report was seen limiting losses.

The Toronto Stock Exchange’s S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE opened down 12.03 points, or 0.09 percent, at 13,390.28. (Reporting by Claire Sibonney; editing by Peter Galloway)
