CANADA STOCKS-TSX flat as materials offset energy

TORONTO, April 19 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index
opened lower on Tuesday as cooling oil prices pressured energy
stocks, but the index turned positive shortly after as mining
issues offset losses.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index
.GSPTSE was up 2.17 points, at 13,704.50 shortly after the
open.
