TORONTO, Aug 27 (Reuters) - Toronto’s main stock index opened higher on Friday, helped by a report that showed U.S. second quarter growth was better than anticipated even though it was revised lower.
The Toronto Stock Exchange’s S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE gained 49.71 points, or 0.43 percent, to 11,702.89 at the opening bell. All 10 main groups were higher.
