CANADA STOCKS-TSX ticks higher on strong gold miners

TORONTO, Aug 31 (Reuters) - Toronto’s main stock index ended slightly higher on Tuesday on strength in gold miners as bullion prices climbed on broader uncertainty about economic recovery.

The Toronto Stock Exchange’s S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE unofficially ended the day up 18.19 points, or 0.15 percent, at 11,913.74. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan; Editing by Jeffrey Hodgson)
