Admiral Schofield scored 21 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead five Tennessee double-figure scorers Wednesday night as the No. 1 Volunteers extended their school-record winning streak to 19 games with an 85-73 victory over South Carolina in Knoxville, Tenn.

Jordan Bowden came off the bench to score 16 points for Tennessee (23-1, 11-0 Southeastern Conference), while Jordan Bone, Lamonte Turner and Kyle Alexander each added 10. SEC scoring leader Grant Williams was held to eight points, far below his 19.9 average, but he contributed nine rebounds and seven assists.

Georgetown transfer Tre Campbell canned all five 3-point attempts and scored a team-high 19 points for the Gamecocks (12-12, 7-4), who went 14 of 23 on long-distance shots but never got the deficit into single digits in the second half.

Chris Silva chipped in 17 points and 15 rebounds, and Hassani Gravett added 15 points in a reserve role.

Eric Paschall scored 20 of his game-high 25 points in the second half as the Wildcats rebounded from their first Big East Conference defeat, at Marquette on Saturday, with a convincing victory over the visiting Friars.

Phil Booth added 22 points as the defending NCAA champion Wildcats (20-5, 11-1 Big East) reached 20 wins for the seventh consecutive season and the 14th in their last 15 seasons.

Nate Watson scored 18 points for Providence, which fell for the fourth time in the past five games. The Friars (14-11, 4-8) are 13-32 at Villanova all-time.

No. 15 Texas Tech 78, Oklahoma State 50

Jarrett Culver scored 19 points as the Red Raiders rolled to a victory over the Cowboys at Stillwater, Okla.

Matt Mooney made all five of his 3-point attempts while scoring 15 points as Texas Tech (20-5, 8-4 Big 12) won for just the second time in its last 16 visits to Stillwater. Tariq Owens contributed 11 points and seven rebounds for the Red Raiders, who won for the fifth time in their past six contests.

Cameron McGriff recorded 18 points and 11 rebounds for Oklahoma State (9-15, 2-9), which has lost four straight games and seven of its past eight.

No. 17 Florida State 88, Wake Forest 66

The Seminoles, who started 1-4 in Atlantic Coast Conference play this season, won their sixth straight league game, defeating the Demon Deacons in Tallahassee, Fla.

Florida State (19-5, 7-4) controlled the game for most of the first half and all of the second half, sending the Demon Deacons (9-14, 2-9) to their sixth loss in the past seven games.

Senior Christ Koumadje had the best game of his Seminoles career, posting his first career double-double with 20 points, 12 rebounds. Wake Forest was paced by Chaundee Brown with 20 points.

No. 22 Virginia Tech 76, Georgia Tech 68

Ty Outlaw made six 3-pointers and finished with a season-high 20 points in the Hokies’ win over the Yellow Jackets at Blacksburg, Va.

Virginia Tech (19-5, 8-4 Atlantic Coast Conference) ended a two-game losing streak and swept the season series against Georgia Tech, which has lost six straight and eight of its past nine.

The Hokies also got 16 points from both Kerry Blackshear Jr. and Nickeil Alexander-Walker as well as 11 from Ahmed Hill. Georgia Tech (11-14, 3-9) got a career-high 22 points from freshman Michael Devoe, plus 15 points and eight rebounds from James Banks III.
