North Carolina freshman forward Nassir Little declared for the 2019 NBA Draft on Monday.

“I am declaring for the 2019 draft with the intention to start my NBA career,” Little told ESPN. “I am going to work extremely hard throughout the pre-draft process and my entire career to continue to grow as a player and person. I feel like I have a very high ceiling as a player and I plan to reach that ceiling through consistent hard work.”

Little, 19, averaged 9.8 points, 4.6 rebounds and 18.2 minutes in 36 games off the Tar Heels’ bench in 2018-19.

In three NCAA Tournament games, Little averaged 14.3 points on 61.3 percent shooting.

The MVP of the McDonald’s All-American game and co-MVP of the Jordan Brand Classic in 2018, Little was ranked No. 2 overall by Rivals, No. 3 by 247Sports and No. 6 by ESPN in the 2018 recruiting class.

Standing 6-foot-6 with a 7-foot-1 wingspan, Little is currently ranked as the No. 16 prospect by ESPN heading into this June’s draft.

“I just want teams to see who I am as a player and person,” Little told ESPN. “I take a professional approach to everything I do, both on and off the court. I’m coachable. I am a good teammate. I think once everyone sees all these things and sees what I can do as a player, I’ll land in a great situation where I can grow and help a team win.”
