TORONTO, May 4 (Reuters) - The pace of purchasing activity in Canada accelerated in April as prices climbed, according to Ivey Purchasing Managers Index data released on Friday.
The seasonally adjusted index jumped to 71.5 from 59.8 in March. A reading above 50 indicates an increase in the pace of activity.
The unadjusted index climbed to 70.4 from 64.7.
The seasonally adjusted gauge of prices paid rose to 67.8 from 60.0.
