CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens lower as gold stocks fall after U.S. jobs report

TORONTO, July 5 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened
lower on Friday as a robust U.S. jobs report weakened investor
appetite for safe-haven assets such as bullion, causing a slump
in gold-mining stocks.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index
was down 32.43 points, or 0.27 percent, at 12,134.23
shortly after the open.
