Canada apparel firm Roots drops 4 pct in trading debut

TORONTO, Oct 25 (Reuters) - Canadian apparel company Roots Corp fell 4.2 percent in its trading debut in Toronto on Wednesday after raising C$200 million ($158 million) in an initial public offering.

The company, known for its trademark beaver logo, rustic casual wear and Canadian-made leather goods, opened at C$11.50 in Toronto, compared with its IPO price of C$12, and was trading lower at C$11.15 at 0933 EST. (Reporting By Nichola Saminather; Editing by Chizu Nomiyama)
