April 30 (Reuters) - Canadian IT services company CGI group Inc reported a second-quarter profit above analysts’ estimates, partly helped by its acquisition of Logica in August, sending its shares up as much as 15.5 percent on Tuesday.
The company’s profit rose to C$114.2 million, or 36 Canadian cents per share, from C$105.7 million, or 40 Canadian cents per share, a year earlier. Revenue more than doubled to C$2.53 billion. (Reporting by Shounak Dasgupta in Bangalore; Editing by Joyjeet Das)
