U.S. stock index futures were slightly higher on Wednesday, suggesting the market’s recent upswing that has taken indexes to repeated records, was set to continue with little on the horizon to derail the rally. Dow Jones industrial average futures were up 0.07 percent at 17,109, S&P 500 futures were up 0.03 percent at 1,999 and Nasdaq 100 futures were up 0.03 percent at 4,073.5.

** SMITH & WESSON HOLDING CORP, Tuesday close $13.1, -11.07 pct premarket

The gunmaker forecast second-quarter profit below analysts’ estimates and cut 2015 profit and revenue forecast, citing industrywide high inventories and weak consumer buying during summer.

** YINGLI GREEN ENERGY HOLDING CO LTD , Tuesday close $3.56, -4.78 pct premarket

The Chinese solar company reported a bigger-than-expected quarterly loss and cut its forecast for 2014 panel shipments as demand begins to falter due to U.S. duties on China- and Taiwan-made solar products.

** ARUBA NETWORKS INC, Tuesday close $20.24, +8.00 pct premarket

At least two brokerages upgraded the network gear maker’s stock and five others raised their price targets to up to $28. Analysts said Aruba is benefiting from “strong adoption” of Wi-fi products, compared with rivals such as Cisco Systems Inc

** AEGERION PHARMACEUTICALS INC, Tuesday close $20.24, +8.00 pct premarket

The drugmaker said it resolved concerns raised in a warning letter by the U.S. FDA related to its cholesterol drug, Juxtapid

** TUBEMOGUL INC, Tuesday close $13.1, +32.54 pct premarket

The software company reported second-quarter revenue of $28.7 million, above the average analyst estimate of $24.7 million, on strong demand for its video advertising software. The company also sees 2014 total revenue of $98-$102 million, above analysts’ average estimate of $91.7 million

** TIFFANY & CO, Tuesday close $100.77, +2.75 pct premarket

The upscale jeweler reported a 16 percent rise in quarterly profit as sales grew strongly in the Americas and the Asia-Pacific region.

** SEADRILL LTD, Tuesday close $37.67, -4.22 pct premarket

The world’s biggest offshore driller by market capitalisation reported second-quarter earnings below forecasts on Wednesday and offered a cautious outlook for the rig market.

** RADIOSHACK CORP, Tuesday close $0.86, +4.65 pct premarket

The retailer’s second-largest shareholder, Standard General LP, is negotiating a rescue package with investors to help the consumer electronics retailer ward off bankruptcy, Bloomberg reported, citing people with knowledge of the matter.

** QUALCOMM INC, Tuesday close $77.01

The world’s No. 1 mobile chipmaker, may face a European investigation related to a four-year-old complaint from a subsidiary of rival Nvidia Corp, three people familiar with the matter said on Tuesday.

** CHIQUITA BRANDS INTERNATIONAL, Tuesday close $14.07

The company on Wednesday re-affirmed its commitment to a merger with Irish tropical fruit company Fyffes Plc and said it expected the deal to yield cost synergies of $60 million.

** ALLERGAN INC <AGN.N >, Tuesday close $163.97

The company said on Tuesday that it has scheduled a special shareholders meeting for Dec. 18, when activist investor Bill Ackman, who supports a hostile bid for the company by Valeant Pharmaceuticals Inc, will attempt to oust most of its board.

** CARLYLE GROUP, Tuesday close $32.43

The global private equity firm is in advanced talks with property developer China Vanke Co Ltd to buy stakes in nine of its shopping malls, two people with direct knowledge of the matter told Reuters.

** MASTERCARD INC, Tuesday close $77

The world’s second-largest debit and credit card company, expects net revenue to double in Latin America over the next four to five years on strong consumer spending and a shift to electronic payment from cash, a leading executive told Reuters.

** BAIDU INC, Tuesday close $216.08

China’s privately held Dalian Wanda Group is set to launch a 5 billion yuan ($813 million) e-commerce joint venture with domestic internet giants Tencent Holdings Ltd and Baidu Inc, said two sources familiar with the investment.

** TALISMAN ENERGY INC, Tuesday close $10.69, -4.3 pct after market
