U.S. stock index futures pared gains to trade flat on Tuesday following the largest losses on Wall Street since early October and ahead of a large data batch that will show the momentum of the U.S. economy at the end of last year. Dow Jones industrial average futures were up 0.03 percent at 17,455, S&P 500 futures were up 0.06 percent at 2,017.25 and Nasdaq 100 futures were up 0.07 percent at 4,164.5.
