BUZZ-U.S. STOCKS ON THE MOVE-Kraft Foods, Kofax, Apollo Education

Dow Jones industrial average e-mini futures were down 0.05 percent at 17,940, S&P 500 e-mini futures were up 0.02 percent at 2,085.5 and Nasdaq 100 e-mini futures were up 0.07 percent at 4,432.25.

** KRAFT FOODS GROUP INC, Tuesday close $61.325, +34.63 pct premarket

The maker of Velveeta cheese and Oscar Mayer meats will merge with ketchup maker H.J. Heinz Co, owned by 3G Capital and Berkshire Hathaway Inc, to form North America’s third-largest food and beverage company.

** LEXMARK INTERNATIONAL INC, Tuesday close $40.79, +5.42 pct premarket

Lexmark, known for its printers, said it would buy Kofax in an about $1 billion deal that would double the size of its enterprise software business.

** NATIONSTAR MORTGAGE HOLDINGS INC, Tuesday close $31.14, -8.96 pct premarket

The mortgage servicer said it is offering 17.5 mln shares, which represents about 19 percent of the company’s outstanding stock.

** VBL THERAPEUTICS, Tuesday close $5.5853, +15.12 pct premarket

The Israel-based company said a mid-stage study of its experimental brain cancer drug met the main goal of increasing overall survival.

The for-profit education provider’s revenue fell for the fifteenth straight quarter as it enrolled fewer students, and the company forecast current-quarter revenue below analysts’ expectations.

The retail currency broker said it will sell FXCM Japan to Japanese ecommerce company Rakuten Inc’s foreign exchange brokerage for $62 million.

** YINGLI GREEN ENERGY HOLDING CO LTD, Tuesday close $2.34, -5.13 pct premarket

The Chinese solar panel maker reported a bigger-than-expected quarterly loss, reflecting a drop in selling prices and the yuan’s strength against the yen and euro.

** BIOLINE RX LTD, Tuesday close $2.28, +4.39 pct premarket

The Israeli drugmaker said its experimental drug was proved safe and effective for collection of bone-marrow stem cells for transplantation in an early-stage study.
