The Dow Jones industrial average was down 0.36 percent at 17,785.46, the S&P 500 was down 0.54 percent at 2,081.47 and the Nasdaq Composite was down 0.95 percent at 5,020.275.

** TOBIRA THERAPEUTICS INC, $21.8939, +22.72 pct

The drug developer said it completed enrollments in a mid-stage trial testing its experimental drug, cenicriviroc, in patients with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.

** POZEN INC, $9.18, +21.59 pct

The specialty pharmaceuticals company said it would acquire Tribute Pharmaceuticals Canada Inc for about $144 million and shift its domicile to Ireland.

** PETROQUEST ENERGY INC, $2.33, +23.94 pct

The oil and gas producer divested most of its oil and gas assets in Arkoma, Oklahoma for $280 million late on Friday.

** E-HOUSE CHINA HOLDINGS LTD, $6.743, +13.71 pct

** LEJU HOLDINGS LTD, $8.4, +3.19 pct

Zacks Investment Research recommends the stock: "This security in the real estate operations space is seeing solid earnings estimate revision activity." (bit.ly/1IympwE)

** IMMUNOMEDICS INC, $4.82, +11.06 pct

** Wells Fargo analyst Matthew Andrew said investors possibly feel a partnership is likely to happen for the company’s IMMU-132 following data presented at ASCO conference, though the company has not provided any guidance on timing of a partnership.


The company said it signed a partnership with Rocket Sound LLC to provide translation and voiceover services for game titles.

** ROSETTA STONE Inc, $8.25, +3.64 pct

Osmium Partners, the second largest shareholder in Rosetta Stone, said it supports an evaluation of Rosetta’s strategic alternatives.

** EBAY INC, $60.82, -3.81 pct

E-commerce company says it expects revenue growth of 0-5 percent in 2015 and 2016, excluding forex impact; and expects earnings per share to grow faster than revenue in 2016 and long term. (1.usa.gov/1Hj26BT)

Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster says the forecast for the company’s Marketplaces business, eBay’s core business, is below market estimates and the PayPal forecast in line, according to Seekingalpha.com.

** CAPRICOR THERAPEUTICS INC, $6.141, +2.52 pct

The drug developer gets FDA clearance to conduct clinical trials on its cell therapy, CAP-1002, to treat heart failure in patients with DMD, a muscle wasting disorder.


The cell therapy developer bought rights to a new gene therapy to treat rare diseases from the University of Nebraska Medical Center.

Keith Markey of Griffin Securities says the stock is “probably benefiting from a new effort” by Sanofi to increase awareness of inhaled insulin product Afrezza among physicians.

American Airlines Group Inc Chief Executive Doug Parker voiced concern on Sunday about the risk that capacity growth among airlines could depress profits, but told Reuters that in contrast with past cycles, the rise in capacity “feels different.”

** CHINA BIOLOGIC PRODUCTS INC, $107.54, -9.32 pct

The Chinese cloud-based IT services provider ties up with another China tech firm to provide targeted advertising services and cloud-based services catering to business travelers at certain Chinese airports.

The shipping company entered a time charter contract with China Shipping Bulk Carrier Co Ltd, Hong Kong, for one of its Panamax dry bulk vessel. Diana Shipping said the contract is expected to generate about $1.8 million of gross revenue for the minimum period.

** MAXLINEAR INC, $10.9, +1.87 pct

George Soros-controlled Soros Fund Management LLC reports a passive stake of 5.19 pct in the radio frequency chip maker as of May 26.

** WALTER ENERGY INC, $0.3073, -31.71 pct

The U.S. coal miner Walter Energy Inc could file for bankruptcy protection as soon as this month, Bloomberg reported on Friday, citing sources close to the matter.

** DEUTSCHE BANK, $32.11, +4.83 pct

Germany’s largest lender Deutsche Bank purged its leadership on Sunday, appointing Briton John Cryan as chief executive to replace Anshu Jain just two weeks after Jain was given more power to reorganise the bank.

** MCDONALD’S CORP, $95.51, -0.03 pct

The company posted a smaller-than-expected decline in worldwide sales at established restaurants in May as strong sales in Europe more than offset a decline in the United States.

** GALAPAGOS NV, $55, +5.63 pct

Morgan Stanley initiated coverage of the Belgian biotech group’s stock with an “overweight” recommendation. “We believe Galapagos offers a differentiated pipeline with access to large market opportunities including rheumatoid arthritis and cystic fibrosis,” Morgan Stanley analysts wrote in a note to clients.

** BALLARD POWER SYSTEMS, $2.3648, +12.61 pct

The fuel-cell products maker signed a $10 million contract with two Chinese electric bus makers for 33 fuel-cell powered buses.

** TESLA MOTORS INC, $255.69, +2.63 pct

Japanese electronics group Panasonic Corp plans to send hundreds of its employees to Tesla’s Gigafactory in Nevada from this autumn to prepare for production at the plant, which it confirmed will start sometime next year.
