Dow Jones industrial average e-mini futures were up 0.37 percent at 17,585, S&P 500 futures were up 0.48 percent at 2,060.25 and Nasdaq 100 futures were up 0.32 percent at 4,392.

** CELGENE CORP, Tuesday close $114.91, -0.60 pct premarket

Celgene, on Monday, launched a 10-year partnership with Juno Therapeutics, announcing a $1 billion investment aimed at bringing to market Juno technologies that harness the immune system to treat cancer and autoimmune diseases.

** GENERAL ELECTRIC CO, Tuesday close $26.64, +0.60 pct premarket

The company said it would sell its European private equity financing business to a unit of Japan’s Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp (SMBC) for $2.2 billion.

** SONY CORP,Tuesday close $30.36, -6.85 pct premarket

Japan’s Sony plans to raise nearly $4 billion via new shares and bonds to plough into image sensors as it reinvents itself as a niche component maker, pulling back from consumer goods like TVs that dragged it into losses.

** ALIBABA GROUP HOLDING LTD, Tuesday close $81.07, +1.25 pct premarket

The Chinese e-commerce giant is in advanced talks to invest in Indian online payment platform and e-commerce firm Paytm, two sources with knowledge of the matter said on Tuesday.

** PENTAIR PLC, Tuesday close $64.43, +5.54 pct premarket

Nelson Peltz’s Trian Fund Management LP has built a stake of 7.24 percent in Pentair and asked the pump and valve maker to consider acquiring rivals to consolidate the sector, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing people familiar with the matter.

** MICROSOFT CORP, Tuesday close $44.37, +0.72 pct premarket

The company said on Monday it will hand over its display advertising business to AOL Inc and sell some map-generating technology to ride-hailing app company Uber, as it slims down its money-losing online operations.

** TOWERS WATSON & CO, Tuesday close $137.98

Insurance broker Willis Group Holdings said it would combine with financial services provider Towers Watson to create a new $18 billion insurance, personnel and risk company.

** CENOVUS ENERGY INC, Tuesday close $15.98

The Canadian oil producer said it would sell its royalty lands business, Heritage Royalty Limited Partnership, to Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan for about C$3.3 billion ($2.66 billion).

** EMERSON ELECTRIC CO, Tuesday close $55.56

The U.S. factory automation equipment maker said it plans to spin off its network power business into a publicly traded company as part of its efforts to focus on its high-growth businesses.

** AT&T INC, Tuesday close $35.77, +0.64 pct premarket

** DIRECTV, Tuesday close $92.835

AT&T, the No. 2 U.S. telecom company, said it has extended the “termination date” of the merger agreement with satellite TV provider DirecTV for “a short period of time”, the second time in two months.

** BAIDU INC, Tuesday close $200.5

China’s dominant Internet search engine said it would invest 20 billion yuan ($3.22 billion) over the next three years on online-to-offline services, including group-buying service Nuomi.

** SPRINT CORP, Tuesday close $4.52
