BUZZ-U.S. STOCKS ON THE MOVE-Valeant, 3M, Pacira, Kitov

Dow Jones industrial average futures were up 0.87 percent at 17,487, S&P 500 futures were up 1.04 percent at 2,039.5 and Nasdaq 100 futures were up 0.96 percent at 4,610.25.

** LUMBER LIQUIDATORS HOLDINGS INC, Monday close $14.06, +30.16 pct premarket

Hedge fund manager Whitney Tilson, who had accused flooring retailer Lumber Liquidators of selling flooring laced with cancer causing materials and bet the stock price would drop, said on Monday that he has covered his short position.

The company said on Tuesday its lead drug met the main goal of a late-stage study, reducing pain without increasing the risk of heart diseases in patients with a type of arthritis.

The company has decided not to separate its chipmaking and technology licensing businesses, concluding a six-month strategic review pushed by hedge fund Jana Partners.

The company said it has chosen to extend by 30 days the time period it has to make about $90 million in interest payment that was due on Tuesday.

The Canadian drugmaker said it signed a deal to distribute its skin and eye products at a discount in more than 8,000 Walgreens Boots Alliance Inc retail pharmacy locations.

The post-it maker cuts 2015 earnings forecast to about $7.55 per share from $7.60-$7.65, citing slowing growth in global economy.
