BUZZ-U.S. STOCKS ON THE MOVE-NeuroMetrix, Pep Boys, Chipotle

Dow Jones industrial average futures were up 0.72 percent at 17,563, S&P 500 futures were up 0.66 percent at 2,062.25 and Nasdaq 100 futures were up 0.66 percent at 4,644.

** NEUROMETRIX INC, Monday close $2.3, +27.83 pct premarket

The medical technology company said it launched a nerve conduction test, used to evaluate systemic neuropathies such as diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN), in Mexico. DPN is long-term complication of diabetes.

** PEP BOYS-MANNY MOE & JACK, Monday close $17.41, +6.84 pct premarket

The U.S. auto parts retailer said its board determined activist investor Carl Icahn’s latest buyout offer was superior to the deal it accepted from Bridgestone Corp. Icahn raised his offer to value the company at about $1 billion.

** CHIPOTLE MEXICAN GRILL INC, Monday close $493.52, +0.32 pct premarket

The restaurant chain operator said it reopened its Boston restaurant, which was linked to a norovirus outbreak that sickened more than 130 people earlier this month.

** JPMORGAN CHASE & CO, Monday close $66.38, +0.60 pct premarket

The U.S. bank will begin raising deposit rates for some of its biggest clients in January, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing a person familiar with the matter.

** CISCO SYSTEMS INC, Monday close $27.31, +0.70 pct premarket

Cisco did not infringe a patent holding company’s wifi technology, a U.S. appeals court ruled on Monday, reversing a near $64-million judgment against the networking equipment maker in the long-running patent dispute.

** GRUBHUB INC, Monday close $24.99

Venture capitalist Bill Gurley resigned from the online food delivery service company’s board last week, the Wall Street Journal reported on Monday.

** WHOLE FOODS MARKET INC, Monday close $34.24, +1.46 pct premarket

The upscale grocer has agreed to pay $500,000 to resolve an investigation into whether the supermarket chain charged too much for some prepackaged foods at its New York City stores, a city agency announced on Monday.

** VALEANT PHARMACEUTICALS INTERNATIONAL INC, Monday close $102.14, +1.17 pct premarket
