Wall Street was lower on Thursday as oil prices slid and investors worried that measures taken by central banks may not be enough to put the global economy back on track. The Dow Jones industrial average was down 0.93 percent at 17,550.93, the S&P 500 was down 1.18 percent at 2,042.24 and the Nasdaq Composite was down 1.34 percent at 4,854.607.
