    U.S. stocks were higher on Thursday after better-than-expected private
sector hiring showed that the labor market continues to strengthen, further
boosting chances of a rate hike by the Federal Reserve later this month.
    At 9:59 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 0.05 percent at
21,019.77. The S&P 500 was up 0.19 percent at 2,416.28 and the Nasdaq
Composite was up 0.25 percent at 6,214.079.
